Hello there everyone! Today I’ve got some questions that I found and thought were interesting to answer. This was originally from Buzzfeed and was a quiz, but I’m just going to answer the questions here! I always find the quizzes interesting and I think it would be cool to maybe pop a couple of them here, with just the questions and answers. What do you think?
Hardback or Paperback? I’ve answered this before- I highly prefer paperback and there are times that I will wait longer just to be able to get a book in paperback.
Harry Potter or Lord of The Rings? This one should be obviously, but Harry Potter hands down. I haven’t read any of the Lord of The Rings, although I’ve been contemplating it for a year or two now.
Stephen King or RL Stine? Stephen King. When I think of R.L. Stein, I think of Goosebumps and I never read them, got into them or find them particularly scary. Stephen King is a big one for me though. I haven’t read a book by him I don’t like. Maybe by not liking Goosebumps, I just missed out on a major childhood thing? I don’t know, just never got into it.
Sci-Fi or Fantasy? I tend to read neither, but on occasion will pick up both. I’m not really sure. Fantasy tends to be easier for me to get into, but lately Sci-Fi has been really good to me.
Reading Indoors or Outdoors? As much as I do like to read outside, I love to be inside curled up in my blanket with a hot cuppa and my book. If it is “dusk” and there is a fire, that is perfection!
Twilight of Fifty Shades of Grey? Uh…Neither? I’ve read all of the original books in both series (note the orginal, I haven’t read any of the new opposite perspective books) and cared for neither. I think I liked Twilight a fraction more, mostly because I didn’t truly feel “awkward” reading it.
Shop Online or from a Local Bookstore? So here’s the deal, I would love to shop from a little bookstore in town, other than just Barnes & Noble which I do like, that just is fantastic (and I recently found one that I can frequent), but 9 times out of 10 I order online. It’s not necessarily bad, I spend more money if I go into an actual store, so I limit those trips to once a month or so.
The Great Gatsby or The Catcher in the Rye? Oh man, I don’t know. I always liked Catcher in the Rye.
Fiction of Non Fiction? I heavily leans toward fiction (obviously), but a few non fiction books find there way into my hands for reading. I typically prefer watching non fiction or listening to it over reading it.
Bookmarks or Dog Earing? Bookmarks. I used to dog ear a lot, but around the end of high school (basically when I had to start buying more of my own books) I stopped. Although here’s a scandalous confession for you…I have been known to buy second copies (or different editions) of my favorite books. If I do this, then one copy is typically my mark up copy and I dog ear, mark, make notes in pages, and generally over love the book.
Dr. Suess or Roald Dahl? I don’t think that this question is appropriate as I absolutely adore both.
E-book or Audio Book? I could make a whole separate post about E-Books and Audio Books and the benefits and draw backs to both. I think ultimately I am of the E-Book over Audio Book club as there is nothing like reading a book and letting your imagination go wherever it wants to with it.
That is it for this post! Those were quite the questions! I would love to hear your answers so leave some down below!
