Hello…It’s Me…I was wondering if after all this time you were still reading…
Yes, I am one of the many people blaring Adele’s latest album on repeat. I love it and I shamelessly re worked the one line to fit into this blog post. All hail to Adele as I love her new album and all kudos and credit to her for a great song! Now, this post is going to be a new one for me for several reasons. I’ve never done a “TBR” post for a couple of reasons, the biggest being…I’m not good at TBR’s! I am not good at making a list for books that I will read for the month and then sticking with that specific list. More then likely I look at my shelves and determine what books still need to be read and try to pick books that fall into the genre that I have been loving most recently. As always though, the inevitable will happen and I will pick books that I did not intend to read that month OR I will order books and just have to read them right when they get in. Either way, TBR lists are not usually good for me.
Starting this month I am going to make an effort to do both a TBR list and a wrap up list where (as you can guess) I will talk about what books I want to read and what books I have read. I am also going to try and stick to the list as much as possible, however I may deviate throughout the month. I’m human…it happens. So, without further delay, I present my March TBR:
This is a “smaller” TBR then I would normally try for, but Diana Gabaldon’s books are always really long and leave me with a slight book “hangover” once I’ve finished. I love them though, can’t stop…won’t stop. 🙂
The Fiery Cross by Diana Gabaldon: I’ve been waiting to read this bad boy because I was starting to really speed through this series and I wanted to slow down and enjoy every minute and really savor the direction of the series. I love these books and the storyline and writing and cannot get enough of them! This is book 5 in the series and will be the first book I try to conquer this month.
Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness: This is the second book in the All Souls Trilogy and I’ve been wanting to read it since I finished the first book (review here). I enjoyed the first book, even if it had some “Twilight-y” hints to it. I’m looking forward to reading this book this month.
Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys: This is a book that I keep hearing quite a lot about and have been wanting to pick up for a little while. I bought the book on an impromptu trip to Barnes & Noble and figured why not read it this month?!
Death Note by Tsugomi Ohba Yuki Kowalsky : While this is a manga, I figured I haven’t picked up any sort of manga story for a long while and it will be good to break up the intense books above with a different type of book. , Takeshi Obata
That’s what I’ve got lined up for this month! I would love to hear what you plan on reading in the month of March! Do you have a set TBR or just let the books come to you as the month goes?
