**This was supposed to go up yesterday, I had it written, but didn’t get a chance to upload it as we were with family most of the day and it was sweet Baby Boy’s second time meeting his cousins, so lots of craziness ensued! It was a good day though, and I felt bad when I finally laid down last night and realized I hadn’t uploaded this!
Hello everyone! I hope everything is going well for you and that you have had a good weekend! I am currently on day one of vacation! Technically we were on vacation yesterday, but we spent a good chunk of the day traveling, so in my mind it doesn’t count. I have to say, I am very much looking forward to this vacation! We need it and needed to get away and decompress. We are back in our element in the country and I’m looking forward to being able to be outside and doing some things that I like (other than reading and tea drinking. Don’t worry though, I have packed quite a hefty reading list along with my necessities so I’ll still be reading as well.
Our traveling day went really well and our sweet boy actually did really well all things considered. We got up early and tried to get on the road as quick as we could as we had an 8 hour drive ahead of us. With the interruption to his schedule, sweet boy only had one outburst the whole time we were on the road! I was very surprised and impressed! I figured that we would have a little bit more of a problem because he gets bored very easily and very quickly, but he did really well and enjoyed looking out the windows at everything new.
I, on the other hand, had a little bit more difficulty. I get really bad motion sickness in cars, to the point of throwing up previously. I cannot read anything, even street signs and have to be very careful about where I sit and what I do on car rides. I had some TV Shows downloaded on my computer and all of my music as well as audiobooks on my phone. I still had two episodes of nausea, but overall it wasn’t so bad. My husband had a good time, getting crazier and crazier as the boredom really started to sit in. He “analyzed” some of the popular songs and pulled out some wacky (but safe) dance moves. “Road Trip Rob” is what I call the person he turns into when we go on vacation.
I know this is a rather short update, but I am going to end it here. How has your weekend been?
