Good morning everyone! I hope that you had a wonderful weekend and that your work week has gotten off to a good start! This morning I am going to be talking about some of my most anticipated fall releases. These are books that I have pre ordered and are very excited for the release date to come. Some these are recent additions to my list, others I’ve been waiting on for a while.
The first book on my list is, of course, the illustrated Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I have been waiting for this book since I heard that they were going to release each book in the series every year. I am counting down the days for this release, and that date is October 4.
The next book is, once again, a Harry Potter related book and that is the screenplay of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. I will be seeing the movie in theatres, but I also wanted to be able to own the screenplay especially (even more so) because J.K. Rowling is writing this one. She was not the sole author of Cursed Child and so I am excited to truly dive back into this world and get a completely different story and different view of the world of magic. This book comes out November 18.
The next on my list is Gemina by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kauffman. I fell in love with Illuminae when I first read it and I knew I needed more of the world and stories. It’s so unique and I’ve been waiting, twiddling my thumbs, getting more and more excited as the authors start to give us more peeks into Gemina. This release is coming up soon, October 18!
The fourth book that I am eagerly awaiting, though not for much longer, is Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo. I only just recently read Six of Crows, but I loved it! Once I put it down, I pre ordered Crooked Kingdom as I need to know what happens. The release date for this book is September 27.
I’ve got one other book, although I haven’t pre ordered it just yet (this week I will be) that I am starting to get excited for. That is The Voynich Manuscript. This book is a historical mystery and honestly sounds mysteriously fantastic! They have put together a collection of what has been recovered along with essays speaking about what we have learned from the manuscript, although it is far from having any answers about the actual manuscript. This is not a typical book for me, but it just sounds so intriguing and absolutely stunning. It is set to be released on November 1.
That’s what I’ve got on my list for anticipated fall releases! I’m thinking that I’ve probably missed some, but these are by far my most anticipated and the ones that I have been waiting on for a little while! Do you have any anticipated releases? I would love to hear!
