Good evening everyone! This evening I am going to be doing a quick tea review! Recently I got to go visit Mt Vernon again and have lunch in the restaurant that accompanies it with my mother. One of the drinks they offer is a pot of tea. I was excited to have this option, because I love to try new teas and I knew that the teas offered would be based on Mt Vernon’s history. I tried a couple different blends and was pleased with each blend. Ultimately I did not try the blend that I am going to talk about in this post, but once I read the description on the tin I knew that I would love it.
The contents of the tea are: Black tea leaves, Orange blossoms, Marigold Blossoms, Passionfruit Peach Flavoring
I’ll start by saying that in the tin this is one of the prettiest teas I own! It is absolutely beautiful and has several different colors from the blossoms. Once brewed it has a light color to it and is still just as pretty. As far as the taste, to me it tastes like sunshine on a cloudy day. It is very fruit heavy, so if you still want some of the black tea taste, it may be good to add just a standard loose black tea to your tea bag. I find that the strongest taste is the Peach and I feel that that is a lot of flavoring (which makes sense as peach is a very strong powerful flavor and scent).
This was such a good purchase and a great tea! I don’t have it everyday but it has definitely made its way into the rotation of teas that I consume on a regular basis. I’m looking forward to getting some more of the teas from Mt Vernon when I go back! I know that they make good quality teas and am looking forward to trying some new teas.
Have you found any new teas that you are loving? Any old favorites?
