Hello everyone! Happy Sunday! It’s time for a little chatty post (and I am in a chatty mood 🙂 ).
I’m very curious, what do Sunday’s look like for you? Do you have any specific rituals or anything you save to do on Sunday’s? For me, Sundays are a time to relax, recharge and take a step back. It’s recovering from the previous week and gearing up for the new week. As a family we have a slight routine to the day but it is subject to change depending on what we need each week.
The day starts a little slow, with an easy moment of just laying in bed. We do have a TV in our bedroom and occasionally we will turn it on (although not frequently) and we mostly just savor a few quiet moments in bed. Depending on what time our little man wakes up will determine whether he comes and lounges or if we get him for breakfast. Breakfast is normally a diner breakfast that we make at home and for me, a cup of hot tea (of course). We try to not have too much that we HAVE to get done, usually only some grocery shopping. This allows us to have time to whatever it is we feel/want to do. Sometimes that is staying home and doing nothing, other times it means getting out for a hike in the area.
Today is a day where we just do things around the house. My In-Laws were visiting the past couple weeks and we are just getting settled back into our routine and getting things cleaned up and taken care after they left the end of this past week. This usually means quite a bit of laundry and then some relaxation with tv and books. For me personally, I just needed a break to re charge my batteries and that today means getting things sorted and then reading my latest book, The Anatomist’s Wife. We have had a really fun, really busy, really constant couple of weeks so it’s nice to take a moment.
If The Cosy Book Shoppe were a brick shop, I would like to think that today would be a calm day of reading and tea sipping. It would be a steady pace, but everyone would be happily “curled up” in there peaceful place enjoying the atmosphere. It would be a place to recharge your batteries whenever needed, especially on Sunday’s. 🙂
I would love to hear what your Sunday’s look like! Do you have a relaxing day, working day or something in between?
