Hello everyone! I hope that you have had quite the weekend and that it has been exactly what you wanted/needed. Today’s post is a little bit later than normal, but I have a very good reason why…I was chatting with one of my nearest and dearest! I’ll get into that in a little bit.
This weekend has been a go and discover weekend for us. We headed out in search of some battlefields and some history and we found some! It is always a great joy for us to step back into history and see what some of the most historic battles in our country have occured. For me personally, I always like to go and see the country and just imagine being in a completely different era (I’ve always believed I was born in the very wrong century). It was fun for our little man as well as he got to sit and play in the grass for the first time (I know that sounds strange but I was waiting for him to start sitting and crawling well before he was down on the ground outside and now he does both very very well). He loved being outside and seeing/feeling new things!
No to go a completely other direction, do you ever have one of those friends that you bond with in every aspect of “you”? You have a bond that just works and you can share everything or anything (not that you do, but you could)? I do and she is one of my nearest and dearest. I’m not just saying this because she is reading (Hey!), but simply because it is the truth. We don’t live in the same state anymore, but we still talk and bond over the same things and think of each other often. She is also the friend that I have previously talked about who helped dreamed the dream of The Cosy Book Shoppe. We got to have one of our long chats today and it was so refreshing and brought me back to my center. We originally bonded over Harry Potter and Tea and it has simply grown from there!
We also did some great brainstorming on more things for The Cosy Book Shoppe. New posts and products are going to be introduced in the coming weeks and I am very excited to keep growing and bringing in new items!
For me, this weekend was everything that I needed. I was able to get out of the house, away from work and have a good hike and fresh air. Along with that I was able to relax, not have to worry about much and talk with my nearest and dearest! How was your weekend? Was it everything that you needed? I would love to hear from you!
