Good afternoon everyone! Baby is asleep, although not sure how long that will last. I have some housekeeping that needs to get done, but I’m just taking a little time to relax and just simply take a breath. Tea is currently steeping and just about ready for me to drink. It is one of my favorite blends, Blackberry Sage from Republic of Tea along with a standard black tea from an Israeli company. The candles have not been lit, but that is because I had to go run some errands this morning out of the house.
We’ve had kind of a hectic week here. It started off with a doctors appointment for our sweet little man (it went really well, he is growing and developing exactly the way he should be!) and it just seemed to just stay busy between work, our boy, home, dog and myself! Then towards the end of the week, sweet baby boy ended up getting sick with either a cold or allergies. There isn’t much that can be done at his age other than just try and comfort him as much as possible. Thankfully he seems to be doing better and is almost back to his happy self! It just makes my day today so much more needed and why I am taking this time to relax.
I have still been loving my Passionfruit Peach tea, but I’ve been trying to pick up some blends that I have had for a while as well. This includes Dowager Countess Grey, Catherine’s Blend and the Blackberry Sage that I am currently sipping away at. I try to keep a balance with all of the teas so I don’t just have the favorites all the time. This particular mug was a gift from a dear friend and it requires multiple tea bags just to ensure the flavor is in the entire cup! It is quite a large mug and I absolutely love it!
Something I haven’t been loving lately is TV! I find that there isn’t really ever anything good on and I’ve been just kind of avoiding it lately. I have been watching more movies or tv shows I have bought when I do turn it on. Movie wise I always have loved the Harry Potter series (obviously) and I’ve also been loving The Pink Panther (the Steve Martin movies) and Disney movies lately.
Something else I have been on the fence about is my latest read, The Girl in the Spiders Web. This is another novel in the Lisbeth Salander series (which I loved the original 3 by Stieg Larsson). I’m about 50 pages in and I’m just not sure about it. The story is interesting at times, but I’m finding that I’m having a hard time getting into the story. It just does not “feel” the same since it is a different author. I’ll have to keep you updated as to whether I have anymore luck with it. Have any of you read it? What are your thoughts?
And with that, my time is up! Time to get to housework and tending to our sweet boy! Hope you are all having a wonderful Sunday Afternoon! How are you spending your day?
