Good afternoon everyone! I hope that you have had a wonderful weekend and it has been everything that you have wanted! This isn’t going to be a super long post (I say that now), but I wanted to come in and post a little chatty post for you!
This week has been a crazy one! It started off very rough (even coming off the long Thanksgiving weekend) and didn’t start to turn around until Thursday. Once the week go better though, it was full force ahead! We are getting ready to head out on vacation in just a few short weeks and, for us, that means quite a bit of preparations need to be done. I’ve got to make sure everything is handled at the house and with the house before I can even begin to think of the large amount of packing that we will have to do. Thankfully, with Colton getting older, we don’t have to take as much as we did when he was a newborn. It’s different items that are much easier to consolidate and pack.
With the beginning of the week being rough, and the end of the week being a whirl of organizing and errands, I haven’t had much time to read or even drink as much tea as I want to! I think that is the biggest shame and I can tell that I’ve really been missing that time that I would have to read and drink my tea. I’ve been making up for it today by having a little bit of time in between chores to take a moment.
I’m currently reading Gemina by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman and I am completely engrossed. I think that a review will be coming to you very shortly as I am flying through it! I knew once I opened the book, it would be a quick read (even though it is over 600 pages). This is the second book in the Illuminae Files and the only thing that is bumming me out about it, is that I am going to have to wait another year for the third (and I think final?) book to come out!
Lately for tea, I have really been loving my Earl and Lady Grey teas, so much so that I am thinking about offering a blend along those lines in my shop sometime in the New Year. I’ve been really loving the “bright pick me up” feeling that it gives on a cloudy, cold day. It really adds a little cheer as the weather starts to darken, although really any cuppa can do this! What are your thoughts on having a blend along those lines?
We’ve gone full fling into Christmas season in our home with almost all the decorations out (even though we won’t actually be her Christmas) and our sweet little man loves it! His face when the lights first came on in the house was pure excitement and joy. I’m looking forward to sharing so many new things with him and starting some of our own holiday memories and traditions.
Speaking of memories and traditions…I’ve got to end it here as we are going to be building a Gingerbread House in just a little while! I hope that you’ve enjoyed this little update and I want to hear how your weekend has been!
