Good afternoon everyone! How was your last week? It was finally a routine week over here, which has been nice after the mayhem that I feel has been us and our home. I’ve been playing catch up and it was nice to finally feel “caught up”. The house, office, and our lives are finally in order – just in time for everything to come undone again. Isn’t that how life seems to work? Our weekend has been a somewhat relaxing one. We’ve had our typical errands to run, but we’ve also been able to go on a short hike and I’ve had plenty of time to get some reading done.
I can’t believe that February is practically over already! Where did it go? I’m going to just a little wrap up here of how the month went. I’ve already mentioned how busy it was at times, but we had a couple moments of peace and calm that allowed for plenty of reading and sipping. I managed to start and finish 3 books, the most recent being Angels & Demons by Dan Brown. Another high point was enjoying all 3 books! It was a good reading month! I also think ( I say think becuase I’m not 100% positive) that I made it through the whole month only buying 2 books! I’m really trying to keep up with my resolution to read more of what I have and buy less for now.
I’ve slowly started increase my tea intake as well. I still have to be careful with the amount of caffeine that I am allowed to have, but I’ve been venturing out with my blends a little more. I’m still loving the more citrus flavored blends (mostly since I can’t have anything with raspberry leaves yet), but I’ve had a few cups of just a standard black tea. It’s been nice to have a little more variety!
On a personal level, for all the busy times this month, it’s been such a fantastic month! I feel like we have had so many great adventures and have really gotten to get out and explore our area a little more. The weather is already starting to turn nice and spring like, which means on nice weekends we get out for hikes and really get to enjoy the beautiful area we live in. Colton has been loving being able to run free throughout our back yard (now that we’ve got that pesky grass fear half way done with) and we’ve been trying to spend as much time outside as possible.
How was your weekend and your February? I’d love to hear what you read and/or drank this month!
