Hello, hello, hello! It’s a Sunday afternoon, which means I want to have a little chat! It’s been a weekend of errands and catching up on just house things. My mom was in town this past weekend, which means quite a bit of fun time and being out of the house. I needed to get my home back in order and take stock of what we had and what we needed. It’s always nice when we have friends and family in town, and I love it, but it usually means a catch up weekend is in order afterwards.
With all of that going on, I didn’t get too much reading done. March is still off to a good start as far as reading and tea drinking goes, but I was hoping for a little more. I wanted to jump right in and knock out some of my larger books, but it’s been a little bit of a slower start. Currently I’ve been trying to find my way through The Secret History by Donna Tartt, but I may pick up Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty. We will have to see how this week goes to determine which one I read.
I’ve been starting to stray a little bit away from the Earl Grey blends and have been reaching lately for a simply Breakfast blend. Either English or Scottish has been really taking my fancy lately. I still go for a flavored black, but I’ve definitely noticed a shift towards a simply black blend without the extra flavorings. I’m still very much looking forward to getting back to my full variety when I’m able to.
For me personally, it’s been a good week and weekend! We got to get out of the house almost everyday in one way or another and I’ve been able to knock out a couple things that have been on my to do list for a while. Our sweet little man has been experiencing some new things as well in the past week or two and we have made some decisions regarding our second son. We’ve picked some nursery things out and even though we have everything saved from little man, we picked up some new items for the correct season. Little man was a winter baby and this second one will be a summer one. We can re use quite a bit of little man’s things, but I grabbed a few summer time outfits.
How has your weekend been?
