Good afternoon everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend! Since last weeks format of sharing pictures from throughout the week was well received, I think I will be sticking with that format for these posts. For me, this week has been one of the most exciting weeks yet! I was able to get a lot accomplished on turning The Cosy Book Shoppe into an actual retail business. I’ll be sharing a little bit more detail about that in coming posts, but just know that there will be some products coming up to include book boxes, a twist on the blind date with a book concept, custom tea blends, custom mugs, and much more! Stay tuned for more information and follow The Cosy Book Shoppe on Facebook as well! Ok, self promotion over 🙂
The rest of the week went smoothly as I finished up After Alice (you can read my review HERE) and then we spent Saturday out of the house seeing some more sights! We got to head over to a museum that contained a lot of aviation history. We got to see the space shuttle Discovery and the Enola Gay along with an airport observation deck and some other bits of military aviation history. We also had a much needed date night at The Cheesecake Factory. I always tell my husband that it is very important that we continue to have date nights and plenty of time together. I think he is finally starting to understand this to an extent.
We are also going on our 3rd or 4th week of all home cooked and healthy meals. I am very proud to say with the exception of one night and a few dinners out, we have not had any box dinners or frozen meals. I (or my husband a couple nights) have cooked every meal and have had a varied plate to include the main dish, a salad or veggie, and a little side dish. I think hands down my favorite so far have been the stuffed bell peppers with potato salad and bread (it was supposed to be a dinner roll, but that didn’t happen). We are definitely finding some new meals and they’ve all been relatively quick and easy! Looking forward to continuing on! Overall we have been having a much healthier lifestyle these past few weeks in that the amount of Soda has been drastically cut, the amount of TV time has been cut and we have been outside a bit more. We’ve always been an outdoors family, but we are starting to make a bigger change overall.
How is your weekend going? Have you been making any changes lately?
