Hello everyone! How are you on this fine afternoon? I hope the rest of your week was good and that your weekend started off well! Today is just a chit chatty type of post and first I want to start by saying Sorry.
In one of my last posts about my big news, which you can see HERE, I said that my posting schedule and posts would not change and then I missed two posts that I had scheduled. I didn’t miss them because of the shop though, I missed them for a much more exciting and time consuming thing. Our sweet son has figured out how to scooch around on his hand/knees/belly and has his first tooth! This has changed our lives quite a bit as I used to be able to put Colton on the ground and somewhat walk away. Now before anyone jumps down my throat, I still had to pay attention to him and did still play with him, but I was able to get more done while he was “not mobile”. Now when we put him on the floor we have to have, in Alastor Moody’s words, “constant vigilance”. He goes further ad further as he gets more confidence and loves to discover new things!
As exciting as all of that is, it has cut my time to do anything by a lot! So, I’m sorry that I missed those posts, it was a change in our house and in the times that I am able to get things done! We are in the process of fully baby proofing and once that is done I will get some of my time back as we will have to watch him, but he can have some more freedom. I anticipate us slipping into our next new normal throughout this week, so this time things should actually be going back to normal posting again.
In other news, away from that long personal update, I’ve got the orders in for The Cosy Book Shoppe inventory! The shop should be opening very soon and I am so excited to be sharing the things that I love with all of you! This is becoming dream come true and at times, it does feel like a dream. There will be a whole post and more information coming soon. I’ve also surprisingly gotten quite a bit of reading done. I’ve got a good amount read in The Fiery Cross by Diana Gabaldon and I’m loving it! I love how she is constantly spinning the story and how beautifully written and researched her books are. You can’t really skip any parts or skim read in her books. I’ve also started The magicians by Lev Grossman. So far, it’s been good, but I’m holding out on my opinions till I get a little further into the story.
So, those are my updates from this past week of changes! So many exciting things are happening and going to continue happening! How was your week? Any changes or new exciting things going on?
