Good morning, good morning! I am sitting down with a steeping cuppa and I figured I would do something just a little different this morning. I want to just talk about how I take my tea, some of the crazy things that I’ve heard (that I think are crazy) and anything else that strikes my fancy as I’m drinking my morning cuppa!
To start with, how I take my tea. I’m a purist in some senses as I do not add anything to my tea. I take it straight black, no cream, milk, or sugar. However, I don’t particularly care if others want to add to their own tea. To each their own 🙂 I also like a very strong cup and I end up steeping my tea for quite a while prior to drinking.
I also highly prefer loose leaf tea to pre bagged tea’s, although I will drink both equally. In fact, most of the time for ease, convenience, and time, I will place my loose leaf tea’s into bags and then steep that way, rather than my metal tea infusers. It just depends on what is going on at the time of the specific cup.
I drink tea whenever or wherever, but if I had a choice of where to drink, I love to drink my tea either outside on our back patio or in my comfy chair looking out our back window. We have such a pretty view and I feel like it really just helps add to the atmosphere and really allows me to drift to my happy place with my cuppa.
In terms of boiling water, I will only boil water in a kettle. I have both a stove top and an electric kettle and it’s the only way I prefer to heat my water. We have a Keurig, but I only end up using it to make coffee or when family and friends want coffee. It’s not because of anything bad, I just have the stove top kettle and my electric kettle, so I don’t feel like I need to use the Keurig. I have heard this before, but I do not use a microwave to heat my water. I won’t even reheat the water in a microwave, nor will I let company do it. It is horrible!
My morning cuppa is coming to an end unfortunately, but I’d love to know how you like your tea. Are you a purist or do you like some milk and sugar? What about tea’s?
