Good morning everyone! Today I am going to be doing a book tag for you just in time for the Autumn weather and cooler days. This tag is an older one, and I’m not quite sure where it originated from (if you know, please let me know!). I haven’t looked too far for answers into the questions, more going to do this as it goes, and my goal is to try not too bring my all time favorites into it. We will see how that works out!
1.) Crunching Leaves: The world is full of color – choose a book that had reds/oranges/yellows on the cover I scoured my shelves for a red/orange book that wasn’t an all time favorite ( I do have more than just Harry Potter and Outlander books 🙂 ). I was thinking about using Illuminae, but found this gem. The Girl Who Played with Fire by Stieg Larson.
2.) Cozy Sweater – It’s finally cold enough to don warm cozy clothing: what book gives you the warm fuzzies? Alright, this one is unique. This story didn’t give me overwhelmingly warm fuzzier (although it is a “feel good” story and I enjoyed it), but rather the story behind how I came to get the book is what gives me the warm fuzzies. My nearest and dearest (friend) sent this out to me in a little package and one of the things she remarked on a card, was about introducing books and sharing books between friends It was super sweet and every time I look/read/pick up this book I get those warm fuzzies.
3.) Fall Storm: The wind is howling & the rain is pounding – choose your favorite book OR genre that you like to read on a stormy day This was surprisingly easy for me. I really enjoy a good mystery on a stormy day (I feel it fits the atmosphere) and I love Sherlock Holmes. Outside of Harry Potter, Sherlock Holmes was the first “fandom” I was a part of and I remember reading these books when I was really little. I especially love these covers. They scream Sherlock to me as well as the fall stormy weather.
4.) Cool Crisp Air: What’s the coolest character you’d want to trade places with? I don’t know that I would actually trade places with any of my favorite characters, but if I did, it would be one of my all time favorites, Ginny (Harry Potter), Claire (Outlander) or Diana (All Souls Trilogy).
5.) Hot Apple Cider: What under hyped book do you want to see become the next biggest, hottest thing? I don’t really know that I have any truly under hyped favorites in my collection. Most of my reads have been or are becoming fairly popular through a variety of different people.
6.) Coats, Scarves, Mittens: What’s the most embarrassing book cover you own and want to keep hidden from the public? I don’t really have many of these (especially since I’m not a big romance reader), but I think the worst one I ever had was the Fifty Shades of Grey series. I have read it and I no longer own it. Never read it in public and hated standing in line to buy it not going to lie.
6.) Pumpkin Spice: What is your favorite comfort food in the fall time? It’s not pumpkin anything. I’m not a massive pumpkin fan at all. I think I have maybe one slice of pumpkin pie at the most and that is it. The moment the weather starts to cool I love to have a huge amount of Chicken Noodle Soup. I would eat it all Autumn/Winter if my husband didn’t get sick of it at times.
That’s all I’ve got for this tag! I’m very pleased that I made it through with only brining my all time favorites in once! That’s gotta be a record for me. I hope you enjoyed this post and let me know some of your answers!
